The Carlton Hotel has just announced the arrival of the fantastic Art Café & Bakery (based out of San Luis Obispo, California). The Art Café & Bakery has claimed its spot as one of the favorite local eateries and as a tourist attraction for those visiting from all around the world seeking all of their homemade goods. In addition they have launched a Gluten free line of baked items including fantastic gluten free sandwich bread that has earned them a nomination in Country Living Magazines Women Entrepreneur 2008 selection. They proudly carry Gluten free, dairy free, and egg free options for people with food allergies. The bakery case will have offerings such as muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, biscotti, pies, specialty cakes, cookies and more! In addition they will offer a full barista for your favorite Cappuccino, Latte, Chai, and Custom drink orders.

David & Mary Weyrich (Owners of The Carlton Hotel) and Donna & Jayme Nozzi (Owners of the Art Café & Bakery) have announced that the new bakery will be opened at The Carlton Hotel by May 15, 2008 or sooner. The Art Café & Bakery is home to Oprah’s favorite sandwich (the ‘O’riginal Curried Chicken Sandwich) and has been featured in ‘O’ Magazine, The Lonely Planet, The Wall Street Journal and other publications.
